Vanessa has practiced family law exclusively since her call to the Bar in 2010. After graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School, she joined Niman Gelgoot and Associates LLP, where she gained valuable experience working with Harold Niman and Daryl Gelgoot before the launch of Gelgoot & Partners LLP in 2019.

Precedent-setting cases

In her practice, Vanessa deals with all aspects of family law. She is experienced in mediation, arbitration, litigation, and the drafting of domestic contracts, and has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal. Vanessa has been involved in precedent-setting cases and is known for her exceptional writing, strong advocacy skills, and efficient case management.

Educational contributor

In addition to publishing articles in the Criminal Law Quarterly and the Canadian Family Law Quarterly, Vanessa has contributed to educational materials for the Law Society of Ontario and the Osgoode Professional Development Centre.
